Service Description

Continue on your nature connection journey with our Nature Buddies community. This is ONLY for participants who have joined us in the woods before. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss this. These sessions are to support ongoing nature connection practices and social connections. Fully funded places are available. However donations are always appreciated to support the long-term sustainability of the project. Please contribute if you can afford to do so. https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/nature-based-wellbeing-for-people-and-planet Each session costs Nature Connects £20 per participant based on 12 people attending. Commitment is essential. Please ONLY book if you can definitely attend the session. We meet regularly throughout the year. This community of nature, social and personal connection focuses on resourcing us with our innate tools we need to flourish. Restoring the balance between ourselves and the natural world will benefit all life. We revisit the 5 pathways to nature connection, developed through research by the University of Derby which has multiple proven benefits. What it is: Regular space to deepen P, S, E connections A place to switch off from life's challenges Cycle through the pathways Track progress Commitment to developing a self care practice outside sessions Resourcing wellbeing through developing nature connection One Health focus, holistic wellbeing Invitational/ timelessness Inclusive space to ALL Offering a pathway to Ecotherapy or Deeper Nature Funded if needed Signposting to additional support available What it isn’t: FREE Group therapy Purely social group Space to go into specific stresses/ challenges Crisis support Facilitated by Sarah and Jo who are experienced and knowledgeable facilitators and space holders. Sessions are run with one core group of between 6-12 participants, group commitment is vital. We often gather round a fire circle which is an inclusive, non-judgmental space for sharing and reflecting on the set activity or theme. Our activities range from solo 'sit spots', games, fire, creativity, group activities and gentle movement.
